Founded in 1960 by Lyle Gaddis, Gaddis Insurance & Tax has been serving the Shelbyville area for three generations.  As an independent insurance agency, we are able to work with multiple insurance companies to find the best rate and coverage for you.  We also offer a wide range of accounting services, from payroll to tax preparation,  to fit your business or personal needs.

Office Staff

Mike Gaddis

Mike began selling insurance and preparing taxes alongside his father, Lyle, in 1973.  He is licensed in property, casualty, life, and health insurance and specializes in personal, small business, and farm income tax returns.  A lover of the outdoors, Mike spends his free time hunting and working in the woods.  He loves running around with his two grandsons, especially taking them to the sale barn to look at the animals on Tuesdays, and to the Lake Shelbyville Visitors Center museum.  Mike is the treasurer for the Lake Shelbyville Strutters chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and hosts their “JAKES” Event, to expose children to the outdoors and teach them hunting safety, at his cabin every year.

Kristin Young

Kristin became the third generation to join Gaddis Insurance and Tax in 2006.  She is a licensed property and casualty insurance agent, as well as a tax advisor and Enrolled Agent with the IRS.  In her free time, Kristin is usually running races and playing trains with her two little boys, sweating it out in hot yoga, or baking up something sweet.  She loves traveling with her boys and exposing them to new places and cultures.  Children in general are near and dear to her heart, and she loves spending time volunteering and supporting causes to help children in need, such as Junior Welfare Association and St Jude’s.

Bryan Gaddis

Bryan joined the family business preparing income taxes in 2011.  He can assist you with all of your individual and small business tax needs.  Outside of tax season, Bryan is a photographer and videographer, and the owner of Gaddis Graphics.  In his free time you can find him on the lake, building computers, or traveling with his wife Kelley.  Bryan and Kelley have an adorable Husky named Alana, and they support many pet causes.

Regina Agney

Regina, a Personal & Commercial Lines producer, is the newest member of our team.  She began her career helping out during tax season a few years ago, but has since become a licensed agent and completed the Grinnell Mutual CSR training in Grinnell, IA.  She’s a mother to a handsome son, Marine wife, firearms instructor, and English Bulldog Rescue advocate.  When she’s not busy being president of the Pana Chamber of Commerce, you can usually find her crafting in her hobby room. Being the Philanthropy chair for Alpha Sigma Tau has led her to donate a lot of time helping raise money for various causes such as: ALS, Breast Cancer research, and St Louis English Bulldog Rescue.

Linda Banning

Linda has been a fixture in our office for 19 years. She handles bookkeeping and secretarial tasks, and is usually the first person you will speak with when you call us.  Outside of the office, Linda enjoys spending time with her family.  She has been married to her husband Gary for 37 years, and they have 2 children and 7 grandchildren.  You may also know Linda from Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shelbyville where she has been their church secretary for many years.
